Information you provide

If you email OpeningSignal or request a Proof Pack or sample, we receive the information you include, such as your name, company, business website, email address, service area, and message. If you purchase, the payment provider handles your card details; OpeningSignal may retain transaction references, payment-method fingerprints supplied by the provider, business and billing-email domains, and processor risk or review status.

How we use it

We use this information to answer your request, deliver samples or purchased reports, provide customer support, process refunds and disputes, determine eligibility for the one-per-business first-purchase guarantee, prevent duplicate or fraudulent transactions, and maintain business records. A possible identity link is manually reviewed rather than used as an automatic accusation or rejection. We do not sell personal information.

Public-record data

OpeningSignal analyzes public commercial permit records. The service does not attempt to re-identify individuals or combine public data to expose sensitive personal information.

Website and campaign data

This static website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or third-party behavioral analytics. When you arrive through an OpeningSignal TikTok or Instagram profile link, the page may store the validated campaign source, medium, campaign name, optional creative code, and first-visit time in your browser's local storage for up to 30 days. This first-touch value is used only to include campaign context in a city-fit email request that you choose to send; it is not transmitted merely by visiting the page. You may clear it using your browser's site-data controls. Hosting providers may retain standard server logs for security and operations.

Retention and deletion

We retain business correspondence and limited transaction, refund, dispute, and guarantee-eligibility records only as long as reasonably needed for service, accounting, legal, security, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping purposes. We do not store full card numbers, card security codes, government ID images, or raw browser/device fingerprints in our order ledger. You may request deletion of information you provided, subject to obligations that require retention.

Service providers

We use infrastructure providers for domain registration, website hosting, business email, and payment processing. Payment providers may process payment credentials, fraud signals, and device or network information under their own terms and privacy policies.
